What I know for sure is that I don’t know who the nominee is going to be. I do know that when the herd all moves in one direction, it most likely is on to something. There is the potential to be wrong, but the probability is that the herd is right and Clement is the nominee.

What a real conservative could mean for the Supreme Court
A real conservative justice added to the supreme court could go a long way in changing the U.S. as a whole. The people have spoken out in elections. We have a conservative executive branch and a conservative legislative branch. The only liberal holdout is the court system. The liberals could not make a pro-abortion law go through the way a law is meant to be made. (Through the legislative branch) They had to use the judicial branch to accomplish their liberal goals.

A Tale of Two Universities

Hey guys! I got this email from my grandma. I thought you might enjoy it! Read on...

A lady in a faded gingham dress and her husband, dressed in a homespun threadbare suit, stepped off the train in Boston, and walked timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University President's outer office.
The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard & probably didn't even deserve to be in Cambridge.
"We'd like to see the president," the man said softly.
"He'll be busy all day," the secretary snapped.
"We'll wait," the lady replied.
For hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and go away. They didn't, and the secretary grew frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president, even though it was a chore she always regretted.
"Maybe if you see them for a few minutes, they'll leave," she said to him!
He sighed in exasperation and nodded.
Someone of his importance obviously didn't have the time to spend with them, and he detested gingham dresses and homespun suits cluttering up his outer office.
The president, stern faced and with dignity, strutted toward the couple.
The lady told him! , "We had a son who attended Harvard for one year. He loved Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidentally killed. My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere on campus."
The president wasn't touched. He was shocked.
"Madam," he said, gruffly, "we can't put up a statue for every person who attended Harvard and died.. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery."
"Oh, no," the lady explained quickly. "We don't want to erect a statue. We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard." The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun suit, then exclaimed, "A building! Do you have any earthly idea how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the physical buildings here at Harvard."
For a moment the lady was silent. The president was pleased. Maybe he could get rid of them now. The lady turned to her husband and said quietly, "Is that all it cost to start a university? Why don't we just start our own? " Her husband nodded. The president's face wilted in confusion and bewilderment.
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the university that bears their name, Stanford University, a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about. You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them.

A great book on our 4th President. This fine man is often called "The Father of the Consitution".

Believe it or not I checked this book out the day she resigned!
3. Footprints under the Window - A Hardy Boys Book
A really good mystery about a plot by a group of South American spies to steal a secret U.S. project and sale it to our enemies abroad!
4. Lost Mines and Treasures of the South West
A book about reported treasures lost or hidden in the South-West part of the United States. Including some in Oklahoma!
5. The Story of Theodore Roosevelt - Adventure in Courage
A very "bully" telling of the years before the White House.
6. China Since 1945
A rather "Red" version of China since the Communist takeover.
7. Hidden Treasures
Another treasure book about the worlds most famous hidden treasures. (Such as the lost gold of the Incas)

I agree. That is why we MUST have someone he has proven that they are opposed to abortion. Former Justice O'Conner claimed to be pro-life but them flipped once she was on the court.
Gonzales voted to allow a teenager to have an abortion without telling her parents.
That's bad. If Gonzales is for the secret murder of a tiny baby, he is not the man I want on our United State Supreme Court.

Recovering...
Hello guys! I am safely back from the oral surgeon. (minus 4 wisdom teeth) We got some movies and I spend most of the day relaxing and watching them. Thank you so much for all your prayers. It was a comfort to know they many people were praying for me as the surgery was performed. I would like to share a verse that was a comfort to me during this time.

Oral Surgery - Prayer request
Hello Guys!
I would like to give out some prayer requests tonight before I go to bed. I would like you to remember two friends of mine in your prayers. One's name is Martin and the other's name is Justin. Martin is going under the knife tomorrow to have a surgery performed and Justin is recovering from a car accident. Also if you would remember me tomorrow as well. About 8 o'clock I am going to get my wisdom teeth removed. Compared to what Justin and Martin are going through, this is nothing but if you would please lift us up in prayer tomorrow I would be grateful. I would like to give out some prayer requests tonight before I go to bed. I would like you to remember two friends of mine in your prayers. One's name is Martin and the other's name is Justin. Martin is going under the knife tomorrow to have a surgery performed and Justin is recovering from a car accident. Also if you would remember me tomorrow as well. About 8 o'clock I am going to get my wisdom teeth removed. Compared to what Justin and Martin are going through, this is nothing but if you would please lift us up in prayer tomorrow I would be grateful. I have tried to blog a lot today so as to leave posts to comment on if I don't feel like blogging for a while. Have a great day everyone!

Opposed to murder in all its forms
This picture by Dan Lacey over at FaithMouse.com really struck me. Abortion is a terrible evil. May President Bush appoint a pro-life justice. Thousands of lives depend on it.
And over at Liberty Just In Case I found this touching tribute to our friends and allies the British people. The same evil has struck us both and yet, together we stand, undefeated in the cause of justice and right. May the allies draw near, once more to the one Provider of true security as the days go on.

College...Which one?
Oh boy, I was just looking at some college websites as I am waiting for my ACT to come back. I thought you might like to look on with me as I explore my options. Have a look!
First up, East Central University.
A small state funded college, located close to home.(within driving distance) After taking an Oklahoma History test I was blessed to receive a $1000 scholarship from them. As well, for students with a ACT score of 26 or higher, they have 4 year scholarships devoted to history majors.(My hypothetical major) All these thing speak in favor of ECU. Living at home while in college would allow me to watch my younger siblings grow up and have a safe haven to rest and recuperate from what can be a stressful college life. However, being a state college, the book work would include evolution and most likely a "big scissors" approach to history. (Cropping our Christian history out of the books so as to be "politically correct') Also, they have recently hired a gay political science teacher. Which is a VERY bad thing. (How in the world could you trust a gay to tell you the truth about how our forefathers hated sodomy?)
Now on to Oklahoma University. (Or "OU" as it is lovingly called around here :-D)
The biggest college in Oklahoma, home to the famous football team the "Sooners". My mom talked to a recruiter from there who was ready to sign me up, but a downside to OU is that a freshman is required to live on campus. :-( I doubt I will go there my first year at least, but I might go there to law school.
Now to the lovely Florida coast, to Pensacola Christian College.
The home of the A Beka book curriculum. This one is not heavily in consideration from my point of view at this time, however it is a backup. A Christian campus is always a plus, but that is somewhat counterbalanced by the great distance from home.
Now for my all time favorite, Patrick Henry College.
Ranked in the top ten conservative colleges in the nation, this college is absolutely incredible! Opened and operated by the famed Mike Ferris of the Home School Legal Defense Association, this is THE place to go if you are a conservative Christian homeschooler. With the motto "For Christ and For liberty" this college tops them all for teaching young Christians how to be strong, dynamic soldiers for the Lord and our Christian Heritage. Also, want to guess what PHC's record is for getting its graduates into law school?

"Every PHC student who has applied to law school has gained admission to one or more. In fact, a large majority of law school bound students have been admitted to first tier law schools, such as Georgetown University and University of Virginia."
I think I would really enjoy going there. :-D However the down sides are:

A quick update...

...a bill in the Pennsylvania legislature would allow Intelligent Design to be taught in public schools. Praise God! For a rather leftist report, see CNN's story.

For those of you who are fond of using quotes in discussion, here are a list of quotes that and unconfirmed at this time and probably should not be used in a debate type setting as they are not rock solid. This is not to say that are not true, they just have not been proven true yet. A few of them are among my favorite quotes such as James Madison's quote about the Ten Commandments. :-( This by no means, indicates that the quotes are false, it merely states that as of yet they are unconfirmed. I may consider using these quotes again at some point, but would present them as unconfirmed quotes. Oh well, no one says in quite like David Barton himself so have a look.

Update: Guys, that show was awesome! It was totally amazing! It tells all about George Bushes prayer life and his walk with the Lord and destroys the "separation of church and state" myth that says a president cannot be a practicing Christian and hold office. A truly great film. The film is available here if you would like to look at it.

Oh me. George Bush's speech tonight was great. Nancy Pelosi's counter point speech stank. All she could say was "international help in Iraq, international help in Iraq" and "pull our troops out soon". She had nothing to say about finishing the job, and to top it all off, she said the George Bush said "Mission Accomplished" at his speech on the aircraft carrier. HE NEVER SAID THAT! THERE WAS A SIGN THAT SOME GUY PUT UP BEHIND HIM THAT SAID "Mission Accomplished".
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. It just is aggravating.

Prayer in Public School
Having noticed, as I have, that someone voted to keep prayer OUT of public schools in the blog poll, I find it necessary to present the following article for your voting consideration.
BEN FRANKLINS CALL TO PRAYER - 1787
When, after the representatives who had met in 1787 to write the Constitution of the United States struggled for several weeks making little or no progress, eighty-one-year-old Benjamin Franklin rose and addressed the troubled and disagreeing convention that was about to adjourn in confusion. It seemed that their attempt to form a lasting union had apparently failed. Benjamin Franklin said, In the beginning of the contest with Britain, when we were sensible of danger, we had daily prayers in this room for Divine protection. Our prayers. Sir. were heard and they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a superintending Providence in our favor. . . . And have we now forgotten this powerful Friend? Or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance?
I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: that God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fail to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel; we shall be divided by our little partial local interest; our projects will be confounded; and we ourselves shall become a reproach and a byword down to future ages. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter, from this unfortunate instance, despair of establishing government by human wisdom and leave it to chance, war, or conquest.
I therefore beg leave to move that, henceforth, prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven and its blessing on our deliberation be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business. Benjamin Franklin then proposed that the Congress adjourn for two days to seek divine guidance. When they returned they began each of their sessions with prayer.
The stirring speech of Benjamin Franklin marked a turning point in the writing of the Constitution, complete with a Bill of Rights.
Sirs, I ask you. If our founding fathers found prayer to be a fit, proper, and yes, necessary, part of writing the constitution, how can we forbid school children from praying in their classes?

Sirs, I ask you. If our founding fathers found prayer to be a fit, proper, and yes, necessary, part of writing the constitution, how can we forbid school children from praying in their classes?

Boy Scout Missing in Utah
An 11 year old Boy Scout, Brennan Hawkins has turned up missing in the mountains of Utah. He is the second scout to go missing in these mountains. The other scout, a 12 year old Garrett Bardsley, has been missing since last August.

Comments: Guys, this is terrible. Both of these young men were lost while walking approximately two hundred yards from their camp site. This has been all over the scout forums and one of the main reasons given for their disappearance was the violation of one of the chief rules of scouting, the buddy system. Both of these boys were would by themselves, had they had a buddy, their chances of survival would have been much better. A young man who is alone can fall into a river and never be heard from again, but two young men can protect each other and provide aid or call help if necessary. May the Lord help their family's as they go through this difficult time. Please pray for young Brennan as the search for him continues.

Hey Guys,

I am also doing research for my article on separation of Church and State. I have been wanting to write this article for some time, but it always seems to fall by the wayside. After watching the David Barton video, America's Godly Heritage, a whole new world of information has opened up to me on this subject. This video includes the names of the various court cases that removed public prayer, Bible reading, and other such from school. These names allow me to search the internet for information on these cases. With the information available over the internet, I hope to present a well, written article to you, my readers. Cattle Work and the game of Tag
Hey guys!
The ongoing life of Travis:
Today, Dad and I, got up the cattle and corralled a calf to haul to the sale barn. Mom and Dad took it into town and just got back. While Dad and I were driving out in the pasture we went by the fish pond and its cool, clear waters had us both thinking about fishing. :-D We got a new air filter and spark plug for my push mower recently, and I need to get that on.
Other then that, I have been tagged by Agent Tim, so it looks like I am going to have the pleasure of writing a post about my favorite books. Thank you Tim!

Not much happened here today, except we watched a really cool movie about the missionary Gladys Aylward, called "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness". It was a really good movie. If you get a chance to watch it, I would.

A Quick Post

I took the ACT test today! That was interesting. After that we went out and rented some movies! We got one about a missionary and then a Roy Rogers western! :-D

This tape will change how you think about America and will wipe away many misconceptionss the humanists have been throwing at us for years.

The Hand of the Lord
Well, everyone, I am just about rested up enough to tell you all some more about my week at Boys State. A little info on Boys State first.
Boys State is a 8 day camp put on by the American legion for high school juniors to teach leadership, patriotism and government.
I greatly enjoyed the week, especially the government in action and speeches that were given by some of Oklahoma's finest men. The Governor of Oklahoma spoke as well as our lieutenant governor. Other activities included a Counter terrorism drill, *big, huge grin* and fire search and rescue. One event that I am likely to remember as long as I live happened during government in action...
On the last full day of Boys State our city was in a class room, acting out the Oklahoma State Senate. We had all been given the opportunity to write a bill and present it to our Senate of 70 or so boys for approval. Before I go on, I would like to say that I was truly awed by the way the Lord worked though out the whole week. It was truly incredible. As I continue you will see what I mean. Well, the bill I wrote consisted of the following points.
1. Voluntary prayer in state funded schools shall be allowed so long as school activities are not interrupted.*
2. Prayers lead at a school activity such as a football game or school assembly shall be allowed so long as said prayer is voluntary.
*Prayer that would interrupt school activities will be allowed if religion requires prayers at certain times of day etc. and provisions are made with school officials.
I wrote this bill the day before and was really hoping for it's safe passage. After hearing several bills, my bill came up.
(First amazing point: My bill could have been placed lower in the stack of bills arranged by our steering committee. If it had, my bill would have not been heard.)
So I took the podium and begin reading my bill. About half way through my talk, a Senate member rushed in with the news that the entire Senate was convening to hear charges against our governor. So, the Senate moved to table my bill and go to the auditorium for the Senate hearing. When we returned, my bill was brought back up and I finished my talk and seat down. After some questions were asked of me, one senator gave a speech opposing my bill. After a more questioning my bill was again tabled.
(Amazing point Two: My bill could have died right there. It could have stayed on the table untouched and not been heard again. As it was, I found out later that one of the people who supported my bill wanted to table it while tempers were high over the governors impeachment hearing. My bill might have been killed on the floor or might have been amended to weaken it. But, by waiting, the bill was protected until tempers cooled.)
After hearing some other bills another Senator asked if we could bring my bill back up and finish it. The vote was heard and my bill was back on the floor. At this point another Senator asked to give a speech in favor of my bill. He proceeded to answer the arguments of the con speech and encouraged everyone to vote for the bill. (Amazing point Three: Had these two young men not recalled my bill could have died on the table. Also by giving a rebuttal to the speech against, the Bill's case was made stronger.
Then one of the aforementioned Senators motioned to add a friendly amendment. The amendments read as follows:
1. Teachers shall be allowed to pray in public schools2. Teachers shall be allowed to lead students in prayer if a student requests.(Amazing point Four: These public schoolers knowing more about the public school system then I, wanted to make the bill stronger and protect teachers rights as well!!!
Then the Senate voted on the bill. It passed some 68 to 2 in favor of the bill. Now the next hurdle was at hand. Now the bill had to pass the House of representatives in order to become law. The Senate asked me to take the bill over to the house and give a speech in favor of the bill. I said I would and was getting ready to go. Just as I walked out the door, one of the other senators asked me suddenly if he could go too. I said "yes" and we set off for the House.(Amazing point Five: Had this young man not gone with me, my bill might very well have , failed in the House, as you will soon see.
We reached the House and were asked to come in. The representatives voted to hear my bill immediately. After talking about my bill, I took questions. One young man stood up and told me that this bill was unconstitutional and had been declared by the Supreme Court. I responded that I did not know about that Supreme Court decision. My goose and my bill could have very easily been cooked right there, but then the Senator who had come with me took the floor. He replied that his school held prayers in public all the time and that there was no problem with the bill. The other guy sat down.
(Amazing point Six: I had no way of answering this person. I had not heard about that decision and could not answer arguments on those grounds. Had my fellow Senator not come my bill could have very easily failed in the House. Also, it is a wonder the young man sat down. He had won some prizes for debate in our state and probably could have given quite a fight.
After some more questions/statements it was put to a vote. It passed the House unanimously. With light hearts we took the bill to the governor for his signature.
Guys, I never cease to be amazed at the wonder of God. His hand was on this bill every step of the way. Had one of the links failed the bill could have fallen flat on its face. This is just one example of the Lord's faithful hand guiding me through the week at Boys State.
Guys, never loose faith in Him. He is our shield and a very present help in trouble. He will make a way, where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we can not see. He will make a way.

Impeachment and Lawmaking
Boy, what a wild 24 hours we just had! Our governor was elected, then impeached for lying, then acquainted by the supreme court. It has got a bunch of people stirred up.
In other news:
We passed a bill placing voluntary prayer back in public school! :-D
Also we passed a bill forbidding gay couples from adopting.
We are all very happy to be going home tomorrow. :-D

Hey Guys!
I got on a computer at Boys State and I just thought I would post real quick! :-D I am running for District Attorney. I won the support of my party and I will run in the whole country tomorrow I believe. :-) Please pray for strength as the week progresses.

Packing for Boys State
Hello all,
The Blogging Boy Scout is packing up his things and getting ready to head off to Boys State tomorrow. I wish everyone the best while I am gone and how to find everyone well when I return.

Today's' events and a Question
Hey guys! Here is today's post.
Trip to Grandma's:
Today, we went up to my grandma's house. :-D I helped my grandad and my uncle change out the brake pads on our suburban. I tell you what, the difference in braking in unbelievable! It is like driving a new car! I also got to watch the History Channel, which I always enjoy.
Boys State:
Today we also worked on getting ready for a week long trip I am going to take this coming week. I will be attending Boys State. It is a program for high school junior's designed to teach respect "For God and country". It was established more than 60 years ago to combat the attempts of communists, anarchists, and other subversives who were attempting to recruit America's youth during the Great Depression. Their anti-government message was countered by the American Legion through the establishment of the Boys State program. The 720 boys from around the state get to practice state government in action, including running for office if they so desire. Other activity's include sports and speech's from the hero's who have gone before us. Each boy is guaranteed a spot on the legislature and the chance to write a bill. Now for the question.
"If you could pass any bill in your state, what would it be?"
Your answers will help me out a good deal in my preparation's. Thanks for your comments in advance.

Update on the Scout
Hey everyone! Boy, have I been busy! Here is today's post.
Graduations:
This weekend I attended two homeschool graduations. They were both very good. Many of my friends graduated this year, and I wish them the best of luck as they launch into a new chapter of their lives. Congratulations graduates of 2005! :-D
Mozilla:
After hearing about Mozilla from Agent Tim and Alex, I tried out this very nice web browser and found it be be highly superior to Internet Explorer. It load pages faster and just all around seems better! So, if you have time, please give Mozilla a look! :-)
The judicial showdown that flopped:
Grrrrr. Why did they do that?
I was out mowing also today, and I am tired, so I will let that issue go at that.

The "NO" guy :-)
I don't know about you, but our whole family will dash to the living room just to see the "NO" commercials Capitol One is running these days. Man, those are funny! Here is a sample. *Man sits in cubicle, phone rings* CALLER: May I redeem my credit card miles? MAN: No. CALLER: But, I'm in Chicago it's freezing out here. MAN: Euw, I predict a no storm. CALLER: Can my miles get me to Saint Thomas? MAN: Saint happenen CALLER: Hawaii? MAN: A-NO-ha CALLER: Cabo? MAN: CobNO maybe CALLER: Who's in charge over there? MAN:That would be our C.E.NO And that's just one of the 7 commercials! Then it goes on into the blurb about the Capitol on NO hassle card. You can watch one of them here. *Hops up and down with excitement*
2. Roe vs. Wade (1973)
I would that this case, did not exist
3. The Story of the Crusades
Interesting history book. It tells about all 7 major crusades.
4, 5, and 6. Green Berets, Army Rangers, and The Worlds best soldiers
These three books tell about, well, The Green Berets, the Army Rangers, and the Worlds best Soldiers. :-) They are pretty cool. They have pictures of their equipment, vehicles, training etc. The Book about the Worlds best soldiers tells about non U.S. special forces like the British S.A.S., the Russian Spetsnaz. I noticed that most of the non U.S. forces still use U.S. weapons though. I thought that was kinda interesting.

Praise God for men like these
I am sorry that it has taken me so long to update my site again. I will try to do better in future. Life just seems to jump up and demand attention sometimes and these last few days have been somewhat that way. That about all I have got for now. I do want to point out that yesterday was the 60th aniversury of the end of World War II in Europe. I thought about our many men and woman who sacrificed the lives for the cause of freedom. These people are slowing leaving us now. By twos and threes, they depart from this world, and raise to meet the Creator. May we who remain here on earth learn from the lessons they leave us on history's golden page. Let us never forget those who died so that we might live.
Abe Lincoln said it best.
"It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us. . .that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last fullmeasure of devotion. . . that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain. . . that this nation, under God,shall have a new birth of freedom. . . and that government of the people. . .by the people. . .for the people. . . shall not perish from this earth."

Comment: The reason I thought this was really cool was partially due to the fact I have not seen this movie. We got watch all that many new movies as a whole, but this makes me think that this one might be neat. Have any of my readers seen it? If so, did you enjoy it? Was there anything objectionable in it?

"TOP 10 REASONS TO CRIMINALIZE HOME SCHOOLING"
Hehe...I found this over at Reggienation's old blog
1. Most parents were educated in the underfunded public school system, and so are not smart enough to homeschool their own children.
2. Children who receive one-on-one homeschooling will learn more than others, giving them an unfair advantage in the marketplace. This is undemocratic.
3. How can children learn to defend themselves unless they have to fight off bullies on a daily basis?
4. Ridicule from other children is important to the socialization process.5. Children in public schools can get more practice "Just Saying No" to drugs, cigarettes and alcohol.
6. Fluorescent lighting may have significant health benefits.
7. Publicly asking permission to go to the bathroom teaches young people their place in society.
8. The fashion industry depends upon the peer pressure that only public schools can generate.
9. Public schools foster cultural literacy, passing on important traditions like the singing of "Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg..."
10. Home schooled children may not learn important office career skills, like how to sit still for six hours straight.

Here is a update on the recent series of articles done by the Illinois Leader about home schooling. Scott Thomas a "conservative" radio commentator, wrote this article to explain his views of homeschooling.

Then on Friday, Mr Thomas fellow Talk show host Kevin McCullough weighed in. Boy, what an article!
MCCULLOUGH: In Defense of "Odd" Homeschoolers
My comments: Boy, was I happy to see Mr. McCulloughs article! I think that if Mr. Thomas were to meet some homeschoolers on a informal type basis and was allowed to get to know them, he would no longer consider them odd. As a matter of fact, I bet he would like them! When we(Homeschoolers) come out and attack an article, we almost always tend to alienate the other person and place them more fully in the enemy camp. What do you think about that issue? When we meet someone with different views should we attack their views with logic? Or should we choose to let "our light shine" through our lives as it were? I tend to think there is a time for both. If you see by the persons words that they are not "hard core" I think the lighter approach is best, whereas with a hard core person you should proclaim the truth for the benefits of others who may be undecided.

Library Trip today!
Hey Guys!
I really had a good day today. Our family went into town and we got to go by the library! I always enjoy stopping by there. Tis' such a wonderful place to learn new and useful things. :-) I am really looking forward to reading some of the books I found. Here are some of the Titles:
1."Deliver us from evil" Sean Hannity
I don't know much about this fellow other then he does "Hannity and Colmes". But from the looks of the book I think I will like it.
2."The Scopes Trail"
This one got to me, I tell you!
3."We the people"
About the constitution. :-D
4."The Supreme Court"
Never hurts to learn a little more about it these days, does it?
5. "Lincoln's Yarns and Tales"
This one looks like fun!

Lets have a blogstorm
Hello everyone!
I can't be on long as I have some other schooling to do today. :-)
I was thinking about this article that calls for parents not to homeschool because public schools supposedly offer a higher regimen of academic education. I would be very interested to hear some of our fine homeschool bloggers write a article or post on the blog about their views of this article. Please read the article and then leave me a comment with a link to your response on your blog or if you don't have a blog just comment what you think. There is no need to bash the writer personally, only to give your thoughts on the views mentioned. When your links come in I will make a post (Lord willing) with the responses.
I hope to add my thoughts on this article today or tomorrow.

Virtue Magazine Number 8!

ACT test: Mom and I signed me up for the ACT test today. I am looking forward to the test and will be very interested in the outcoming score.
I am not sure if I will get to write about the Murrah Building Bombing or not today. I will have to see.
Update! I am sorry folks. I told you yesterday that the 17th of April was the day of the Oklahoma City Bombing. I was wrong. The Bombing took place on the morning of April 19th 1995. I believe I will write about the bombing tomorrow on its anniversary. Thank you.

A Trip to Grandma's: We went to my Grandma's house today and we help my two uncle's reopen a old water well. I had never done anything like that before so I learned a lot as well as being able to spend lots of time with my family. And to top it all off, I got to ride the four wheeler a while! :-D

I'M BACK!
Hey everyone!
I am now back up and kicking and so is this blog. :-) Boy, I have some stuff to do. :-D A lot has been happening and I haven't been reporting! Well here goes!
The Health of the Blogger report:
For about six weeks, I had been struggling with some allergy-like symptoms. Runny nose sneeze etc. I almost got better twice. Once before I went to the capitol and once before I went to church camp. After both of those events, I got worse. Then about 3 or 4 days ago, I woke up and took a shower, after which I became chilled and started shivering. It went downhill from there with fever and vomiting, and we proceeded to the doctor. After several minor incidents, we were called back and I was given a breathing treatment. Then while the good doctor wrote me a prescription, he told me I had bronchitis. In a nutshell, I had started out with allergies, that over time had worked itself into bronchitis. (Which is an infection of the passageways leading to the lungs) But anyway, I am on my 3rd or 4th day of antibiotics and I am feeling much better.
Boy Scout Visitors:
I have had several visitors from the BSA community lately. I would like to welcome them to my blog! I am open to most BSA related questions. If you have any questions about my trail to Eagle or and other general Scouting questions please fire away! I am still at a place where I remember how I got most of my merit badges and such so if anyone needs any help please ask!
Books!
My sister and I have been trying our hands at the art of book writing. I am trying a western and she has been writing a modern day mystery. I don’t know if I will start another blog for my book like Tim did, or not, but we shall see!

Blogging, a Cow and Virtue.
Hey everyone!
Update on Me: Yesterday, Dad, Grandma, and I went out and fed cows. As we were putting out the first bale, we noticed that one of the cows had jumped the fence and had popped one of the wires while Mrs. Cow herself had become entangled in the remaining wire. After cutting her out of the fence we went ahead and feed as it was getting dark and the light would soon be gone. So we have a repair job to do soon! :-)
The State of the Blogosphere: After looking high and low through the blogosphere, I have found the following,
Virtue Magazine has come out with its latest issue, number 7! This in one of the largest issues yet put out by this company of writers! Please stop by and give it a read!
Update! I have been thinking for some time about trying my hand at writing a western novel. It would be set up something like Tim's spy novel. :-) What do my readers think? Would this be something you would enjoy?

I got to crawl through a B-17!
Hey everyone!
Last Friday, my family and I drove out to the airport and got to tour a B-17! It was really cool! I thought you would enjoy this picture of the plane. We got to look at the bomb bay, and stand in the top turrant. It was great to get to see this piece of living history. As we toured, we thought of the young men who flew this aircraft 50 or so years ago. This plane could hold 9 men. They included a pilot, co-pilot, bombider, navigator, and 5 gunners. This particular plane was armed with 12 machine guns for air to air combat and then 500 to 1000 pound bombs could be loaded into its large bomb bay. This plane was a big part of winning the war against Germany. With its ability to strike at targets far behind enemy lines, the B-17 was able to keep critical supplies from reaching the German front lines. However, early in its fighting career it was hampered by the lack of fighter support that could be provided by the allies. The allied fighter planes simply could not fly far enough to adequatly protect the bombers. The allies compensated by flying the bombers in large squadrons so that the bombers could support each other in aerial combat. This worked fairly well. Then later, the Mustang fighter was equiped with long rang gasoline tanks so the bombers could now have fighter support all the way to Germany and back! Anyway, without going into a complete history of World War II, *grin* I can say that I really enjoyed seeing this plane. I hope you are all having a great week!
