I am sorry that it has taken me so long to update my site again. I will try to do better in future. Life just seems to jump up and demand attention sometimes and these last few days have been somewhat that way. That about all I have got for now. I do want to point out that yesterday was the 60th aniversury of the end of World War II in Europe. I thought about our many men and woman who sacrificed the lives for the cause of freedom. These people are slowing leaving us now. By twos and threes, they depart from this world, and raise to meet the Creator. May we who remain here on earth learn from the lessons they leave us on history's golden page. Let us never forget those who died so that we might live.
Abe Lincoln said it best.
"It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us. . .that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last fullmeasure of devotion. . . that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain. . . that this nation, under God,shall have a new birth of freedom. . . and that government of the people. . .by the people. . .for the people. . . shall not perish from this earth."
