A Christmas Cartoon...

Here is a Christmas cartoon drawn by Johnny Heart.(A Christian Cartoonist)

http://www.creators.com/comics_show.cfm?next=1&ComicName=bc

What We did on Christmas...

Well, We got ready and headed up to my grandparents house. After greetings and salutations, we dug into the food. Oh, there where mountains of it! There were cookies and cakes and Mexican food and best of all tea! After that my Uncle L was talking about his Christmas project of brush burning. He recently had a bunch of trees bulldozed and he has been trying to burn them off. However it hasn't been going so well. The tree's just won't burn up hardly. We also watched the History channel some about this time, they had some shows about the shroud of Turin and the Holy Grail. They had another show called "The history of God" but when it came on the fist line went something like this: "50 million years ago when man came into existence, he has thought about God" I though "Well, they already missed it" and decided to do something else. In here somewhere we opened gifts! I got a rachett set from my Grandad,(Whoopee!) and the book "the Purpose Driven Life". My sister and mom both got some scarves and my dad got some fix-a-flat,a ice scraper, and some tools! My Grandad is a mechanic, in case you were wondering. :-D My Uncle D and I talked about what we could do to fix up my future car, and 85, Grand Prix. He said I should to buy some 48 inch tires and make it to where I could raise it up in the air! I think we are going to sell it though and put the money in something better. Later My cousin and I talked about security systems and karate classes

Well, that's what I did on Christmas day 2004!

News of the day 12/24/04

Well today there were two pieces of news that stood out to me. One was Mr. Bush's last order today before leaving the White house for Camp David, for his Christmas break. He reissued his list of conservative nominees for federal judge openings to Congress. I am glad Mr. Bush has taken this strong stand for a traditional and historical interpretation of our Constitution.

Also today's visit to Iraq by secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld as described in this article

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A23849-2004Dec24.html?sub=new

I am glad that Mr. Rumsfeld is not afraid to go where our troops go every day. I am also glad that he visited them at such a critical time, when our troops need more encouragment then ever after that terrible attack on the dining hall. (Even though he didn't plan the trip because of that attack.)

Christmas Eve

Well, tonight our family did our second annual Christmas program! We sang songs, read scriptures and put up the nativity scene. It was a lot of fun! I hope everyone has a good Christmas tomorrow!

Merry Christmas,

No more comments

As some of you know, I have been dealing with visits from a gay activest. And this morning, I was also visited by a self-proclaming antichirst. He was wanting to debate about Christainity. That was the last straw. I have now removed all comments past and present. There will be no comments allowed on this site. This site was being used by them as a platform for evil and disputing the Word of God.

1 Cor 15:33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals."

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

I have no desire to converse with either of them on any subject. One of them, was debating with me about gays in Boy Scouting. I have no control over the policys of the BSA, and this conversation, too is worthless.

Rom 8:5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
Rom 8:7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able {to do so,}
Rom 8:8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 6:11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Rom 6:12 ¶ Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,
Rom 6:13 and do not go on presenting the members of your body(My website) to sin {as} instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members {as} instruments of righteousness to God.

I would like to warn other Christian webmaster's about this and give them this following verse, from 1 Pet 5:8.

Be of sober {spirit,} be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Well, I am now reminded of Danial in the verse below:

Dan 6:22a "My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths...

Be encouraged fellow Christians and trust in the Lord.

Rom 8:37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
Rom 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Schwarzenegger urges GOP to move left

I disagree. I think the GOP is doing just fine, and should continue to stand up for conservative values.

Snow!

Hello Guys,

It's Snowing today here in Oklahoma! The Lord is bathing everything in white, this morning! It is very pretty! When we told my little brother(who was in bed), it was snowing he said "I can get my coat" :-D

Well, Talk to you later,

Prescribe and Teach these things...

1 Thess 4:3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification; {that is,} that you abstain from sexual immorality;
1 Thess 4:4 that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,
1 Thess 4:5 not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God;
1 Thess 4:6 {and} that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is {the} avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned {you.}
1 Thess 4:7 For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification.
1 Thess 4:8 So, he who rejects {this} is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.

1 Tim 1:3 ¶ As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines,
1 Tim 1:4 nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than {furthering} the administration of God which is by faith.
1 Tim 1:5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
1 Tim 1:6 For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion,
1 Tim 1:7 wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.
1 Tim 1:8 ¶ But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully,
1 Tim 1:9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers
1 Tim 1:10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,

1 Tim 6:3 ¶ If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,
1 Tim 6:4 he is conceited {and} understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions,
1 Tim 6:5 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth...
1 Tim 6:11 ¶ But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance {and} gentleness.
1 Tim 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

2 Tim 3:1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 Tim 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
2 Tim 3:3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
2 Tim 3:4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
2 Tim 3:5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
2 Tim 3:6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,
2 Tim 3:7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Tim 3:8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these {men} also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.
2 Tim 3:9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes's and Jambres's folly was also.
2 Tim 3:10 ¶ Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,
2 Tim 3:12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
2 Tim 3:13 But evil men and impostors will proceed {from bad} to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Tim 3:14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned {them,}
2 Tim 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
2 Tim 3:17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

2 Tim 4:1 I solemnly charge {you} in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:
2 Tim 4:2 preach the word; be ready in season {and} out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but {wanting} to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
2 Tim 4:4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

2 Tim 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
2 Tim 2:16 But avoid worldly {and} empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness,
2 Tim 2:17 and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
2 Tim 2:18 {men} who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some.
2 Tim 2:19 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."
2 Tim 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these {things,} he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
2 Tim 2:22 Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love {and} peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
2 Tim 2:23 But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels.
2 Tim 2:24 The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged,
2 Tim 2:25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,
2 Tim 2:26 and they may come to their senses {and escape} from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

2 Tim 4:18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him {be} the glory forever and ever. Amen.

We got a DVD player!

Hey Guys,
Today, we took my sister to her music teacher's house to sing a solo. She had fun there. Mom and I went to Wal-mart and got a DVD player! However we found that we need to buy a adapter so it will work with our TV. Also, Our family automobile's tires are starting to get worn so we are thinking about replacing them.

Well, that's about it for today. I have been reading that book, "Myths, Lies' and Half Truths" and have been enjoying that.

Well, talk to you tomorrow, if not before,

Early Christmas!

Well, today we had Christmas down at my Grandma H.'s house. Our cousins from Texas are here and we had a lot of fun playing pool and table tennis. One of my uncles and I also had a fun discussion about car modification and what mass produced car is the fastest right out of the factory. The general consensus was the Dodge Viper. We also had a great meal, with full servings of potatoes, corn, turkey, and cookies. :-) Then we got to open presents. My younger brothers got, among other things, a playmobil tree house set. That was really neat! My sister got some clothes, some shoes, and a scripture holder. I got a "Follow me boys" DVD, which is kind of funny sense we don't have a DVD player. LOL. I also got a book called Myth's, Lie's and Half-truths. It tells how to answer questions like "Christian's should stay out of politics" and other such. I am really looking forward to reading it. Another thing I got was a Little Bear Wheeler video. That is pretty neat. It is about the battle of Long Island.

Well, good night and Praise the Lord for His goodness!

Football Today!

Well, Today I was awakened by the very loud ringing of the new phone we got yesterday. The call was a invitation from one of my Boy Scout buddies asking if I could play two-hand-touch football this afternoon. After asking Mom, I happily responded that I could. Then we(My family) launched into Saturday chores. We cleaned the bathtub, washed and vacuumed the suburban, and then off we went to the football game. There were about ten of us and we had a great time. Then we went to the grocery store. At the store, we saw to limousines! That was pretty neat. Then we came home quite tired out, and just relaxed the rest of the day.

Signing off for the night,

Trip to Grandma's

Hello all!

My website got on Google today!!!! Now if you type into Google, "Travis The Blogging Boy Scout" my site will pop up! I am so excited about this!!! Now my site will be easier for everyone to find without having to remember my rather long URL!! Praise the Lord!!!

Today's news: Today, we got to go up to my grandparents. We picked up my cousin and then went to Wal-Mart for a while. My cousin (A boy) and and I looked at DVD players, HAM radios and BB guns. I also saw a neat Gaither CD I might like to get some time. :-) We also got a new phone that has caller ID on it!

After that we went by Auto-Zone to see my Grandad, then we went to my favorite restaurant, Joe's Famous Pizza! The pizza is the best I have ever tasted! It has been a family favorite, for a long time, and they also have wonderful crushed ice in there soft-drinks! So if your ever in Purcell, Oklahoma, or driving south on I-35 from OKC, just ask for Joe's Pizza!

Well now that my sales pitch is over, I can go on with the day's events. After Joe's we went out to my Grandma's place and relaxed, talked, wrapped Christmas gifts and watched the History Channel. Then we loaded up and headed home!

More Shopping Today

Hello all,
Today, I had an orthodontist appointment, so that the doctor could see how my teeth were looking after 4 weeks of no braces. He gave them a look and then said goodbye! I have been going to see him regularly for the last 2 and 1\2 year's so it was kind of sad to go, for the last time. I have enjoyed talking to him and his staff, and will have good memories to look back on. Well, Goodbye Dr. Hickman!

After that we went shopping at the mall, looking for clothes. We also went to Lowe's and had some fun there, looking around. After that we came home and watched the news. And here is the news:

The U.S. has come out with a missile defense system. It involves missiles called "Interceptors" the the military could fire at incoming nuclear warheads. I am glad that we now have such a thing. There is a threat of terrorists stealing a nuke from say, Russia, and shooting it at us without warning. So, now we have a way the protect against that.

Protecting one's home...

Hello everyone,
I am back and blogging after a few days of absence. Boy, have the past few day been active! Well, let's start on Sunday.

Sunday, Dec 12
My sister had a choir concert in the afternoon, so my grandparents can down and we got to be with them. My sister sang well at the concert! I am glad she is getting to be in Voice. It is really neat! After we got home, Grandad, Dad and I got to replace the spark plugs on our 85" Grand Prix. (Mom's first new car! LOL) That was a lot of fun. I really enjoy the time I get to spend with my Dad and Grandad. I thank the Lord for them!

Monday, Dec 13
Well here goes,
Late Monday night, my sister was feeding and watering our 3 cats in our garage. (We have to bring them in at night or we will lose the to coyotes.) Well anyway, as my sister went to get the cat food, she saw a paw sticking out from beside our large storage shelves. The cats where in another room so she know that is wasn't one of them. She wondered if it was a tom cat from the neighbors. But as she looked on, she caught a glimse of a long skinny nose. A nose that belonged to a possum!! She turned and flew into the house. She roused the household and Dad got the shotgun and I got my pellet gun, and out we went. After shooing and prodding with a broom, the thief left the garage and was vanquished. Now get this!

Tuesday, Dec 14

We got home late from town and what did we see coming out of our garage, but a skunk! After running to get the shotgun, he also went the way of the doo-doo bird. What is hard to believe is that the cat's food got raided two nights in a row! We think that since the winter is starting to really be here, the varmints are wanting a easy meal. Dad said that we will have to keep an eye on the cat's so the coyote's won't get a free meal.

Well, that's all for now!

Travis

Book recommendation and prayer request

Hello all,
Today I have been reading the book "Little Pilgrim's Progress". It is a very good book and I would recommend it to all. We have 2 Pilgrims Progress books and I really like both of them. I have not read the full work by John Bunyan as of yet, but it is at the library and I might try to one of these days.

We also have been having some sickness in our family recently. If the Lord puts it on your heart to pray for us, please do. So far Mom, my sister, and my younger brothers, are sick.

Thanks,
The Blogging Boy Scout,
Travis

Remember Pearl Harbor!!!

Sixty-three years ago today, the attack on Pearl Harbor took place. That was the beginning of the great confict called World War II. This war was fought to see if good could conqueror evil, if justice could conqueror hate, and if love and peace could heal the wounds of such a conflict. 3 and 3 score years ago, young men died for freedom's cause, the rights their forefathers fought for at Gettysburg, Fort McHenry, and Yorktown. All of this based on the premise that there can be a place where freedom and justice can thrive. That there is a place where all men can worship God as they please. A place where men can work and raise their family's, to train them up in the way they should go, a place where they can be free. By the Lord's grace we are allowed to live in this land. This one nation under God. Our fathers bled so that we might be free, free from tyranny, free from slavery and free from communism. The Lord is so good to us. What an opportunity to get to live in such a place! And it is all because of our forefathers efforts to follow and serve Christ. Our greatest leaders understood this, here are some quotes from them:

"That book{The Bible}, sir, is the rock on which our republic rests"
Andrew Jackson

"Almost every man who has by his life-work added to the sum of human achievement of which the race is proud, almost every such man has based his life work largely upon the teachings of the Bible"
Theodore Roosevelt

"It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible"
Attributed to George Washington

I so desperately hope that our nation will remain a Christian Nation, for without it, we are nothing and will decay and corrupt from within, just as other nation have fallen with out Him. I pray and hope that the United States of America will remain true to its motto: "One Nation under God"

Good Night, and may God Bless America!!!

The Blogging Boy Scout,
Travis Henry
