My time is a bit limited this morning but I wanted to address this article I found at Yahoo. Apparently Feb 9th is/was Darwin's birthday, and many macroevolutionests came out and had a big party. That poor sad little man. This theory of his has done more then almost any other teaching of our time to corrode Christianity, morality, and basis of right and wrong. As Sam Ashwood recently said in his great article "The Moral Base of Monkeys":
"I often wonder, Why do the college textbooks I study, that promote evolution,
and scorn any idea of Biblical creation, also condemn Hitler, Stalin, or any
other monstrous tyrants? Those dictators were simply acting out Darwin's
doctrine. How can any evolutionist/atheist say that racism is wrong?(I do not
include in my argument here those who believe in deistic evolution; though I do
strongly believe that they err, not knowing the Scriptures or the power of God,
and in all likelihood are unbelievers).
Is it not logical that some humanoid
apes are more highly evolved than others? Then why should not one group, if it
can accumulate the power, lord it over another group? Why can they not slaughter
them, if they think that other group stands in their path to power? After all,
it is only survival of the fittest. If they don't kill them now, that other
tribe of apes may some day gain enough power to kill them. So, we should issue
an apology to all the dictators who have received our calumny in time past. They
were only fulfilling the will of the Monkey-god."
As this article points out, if a person truly believe in "natural selection", what problem can he have with one group of people taking over, killing, enslaving, another people? A macroevolutionests/liberal response will likely respond that no one should be able to take away the rights of another human. Then you respond, who gives these people their rights? The government? That cannot be! Because in Hitler's day killing Jews was a government endorsed thing to do. No it cannot be the government that gives people rights... They will him and haw for a bit, and then you will say, let me tell you what our founding fathers said about that. He will look at you and wince a bit, then you quote the Declaration of Independence.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that
they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among
these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
There. That is who gives all humans rights. Not a government made with human hands, but the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And this plague called macroevolution is working daily in the schoolrooms and universities of our land to undermine the Christianity and moral fiber upon which our nation's foundation rests. Why did Northern soldiers march into battle during the Civil War with the words of the Battle Hymn of the Republic ringing from their lips?
"As He(Christ) died to make men holy, let us die to make men free, While God is
Marching on!"
I'll tell you why! Because they where obeying and believe the verse in John 15 which says:
"Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.These man where Christians! Our founders where overwhelmingly Christian! And yet, schoolchildren in our school are told none of this. They are made to believe that our founders where deists, atheists and other such. This is simply false. In the words of Teddy Roosevelt:
"Almost every man who has by his life-work added to the sum of human achievement
of which the race is proud, of which our people are proud, almost every such man
has based his life-work largely upon the teachings of the Bible."(1)
This is where the battlelines are drawn. Either we are going to study history as it truly is, or we are doomed to repeat the errors of those who have gone before. The greatest danger to our country lies in the camp of evolution and humanism, the two camps of forever one. If a person believe one he believe the other. Let us define humanism.
"Humanism is the belief that the human being is the supreme being. Humans are
capable of self-fulfillment, ethical conduct, etc, without recourse to the
supernatural."
Humanism set man up as God, by placing him in judgment throne above God. It is the ultimate form of rebellion. This is what happens when we tell schoolchildren they can't look at the Ten Commandments in school because it might make them think about obeying them. People turn themselves as a deity. In this land of ours, our founders created our form of government in such a way that to corrupt it, one has to corrupt the entire people, because our government rest in the people. The goal of evil is to overthrow all that is good, all that is right, and all that is Christian about our people, and to twist that into such a form of self promotion that our virtue will vanish like a mist at noonday. America has a long track record of fighting evil, and the author of evil knows this. Therefore he has chosen to attack us at our most vital point, our hearts, minds, and souls. If the evil one can corrupt us in this most vital area, we will fall at the first sign of trouble. I must get ready for work, but I leave you with the cry of Elijah to the nation of Israel:
"How long {will} you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal(evil, humanism), follow him."
America! May we ever follow Christ, the One and Only, True God.
